The Journal of Education Sciences, Teaching, Research and Information Technologies (CEDOTIC), is a biannual publication sponsored by the Faculty of Education of the Universidad del Atlántico, Barranquilla, Colombia. It is born in the light of a historical time in which the global culture, the knowledge society, the new cyber technologies, complex and postmodern thinking, are its main hallmarks. We must be prepared to face and embrace this other civilizing world that already foretells the permanent innovations that are part of the thelos of techno-scientific rationality.

The Journal of Education Sciences, Teaching, Research and Information Technologies (CEDOTIC) has a scope and focus
that is framed in the great area of knowledge of the humanities. The philosophical vision starts from a hermeneutic
of the main paradigm crises that arise in the new Human and Social Sciences of Latin America. The pedagogical mission
is to consolidate a political paideia that makes the project of intercultural and postcolonial education viable and
sustainable. We challenge the reader to raise in common the need to bet on an epistemic, transdisciplinary and
alternative dialogue. The most immediate task, then, is to re-politicize the role of citizenship formation that
Latin American Higher Education must fulfill in order to guarantee the legitimacy and consensus of the State.
Our pages are destined to disseminate, nationally and internationally, the scientific and humanistic heritage that is
currently being developed between our researchers and the main socio-scientific networks of the South.
