En este artículo analizamos específicamente de la representación de la Patagonia difundida a través de los textos escolares, durante el primer peronismo. Los libros de lectura de edición nacional, publicados fundamentalmente a partir de 1951, que circularon en las escuelas oficiales, ofrecen un imagen del Sur Argentino inscrita en el marco de la política peronista que prometía una “Nueva Argentina” fundada en la “justicia social, la soberanía política y la independencia económica”. Estos principios justicialistas impregnan fuertemente los contenidos referidos a las riquezas del suelo y las descripciones de paisajes naturales, que conforman el núcleo duro de las representaciones.

READING THE BOOK OF PERIOD PERON: THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE IMAGE OF PATAGONIA

ABSTRACT

In this article we intend to look particularly at the representción of Patagonia disseminated through textbooks, during the first Peronist period. Readers of national edition, published primarily since 1951, circulating in the schools, offering an image of Southern Argentina registered under the Peronist policy that promised a “New Argentina” based on “social justice, political sovereignty and economic independence.” These principles heavily permeated all the content related to land richness and natural landscape as a core of these representations
