Las siguientes líneas se ocupan de cómo aparece ilustrada la historia de africanos y afrocolombianos en los textos escolares que los docentes utilizan para enseñar la historia de Colombia. Según datos de la Secretaria de Educación de Bogotá, son manuales de circulación masiva en las escuelas del distrito capital entre los grados 3º, 4º y 5º de la educación básica primaria. El análisis se realizó sobre una muestra de seis textos publicados durante los años de 1990.Debido a las dimensiones que implica estudiar los textos escolares se centró la indagación sobre las imágenes o ilustraciones que contienen estos instrumentos didácticos

THE ILLUSTRATION OF THE AFROCOLOMBIAN PEOPLE IN THE SCHOLAR TEXTBOOKS USED TO TEACH HISTORY

ABSTRACT

This work shows the ways how the history of Africans and Afro-Colombians has been illustrated in the textbooks that teachers use in order to teach the history of Colombia. According to “La Secretaria de Educacion de Bogota”, they are massive circulation textbooks in the schools of the Capital District, especially between 3rd, 4th and 5th grades of the basic !" primary education. This analysis was made on a sample of six textbooks published during the 90s. Due to the dimensions that studying textbooks implies, the analysis was focused on the investigation of the pictures or illustrations that these educational tools contain
