Este artículo analiza las visiones políticas de los artesanos en Cartagena en el marco de lasreformas liberales a mediados del siglo XIX. Este sector social no fue un simple grupomanipulado por el partido liberal para alcanzar sus proyectos políticos, sino que defendiósus propias expectativas, consolidando una cultura política que les permitió percibir lasasimetrías sociales y políticas del discurso liberal.

ABSTRACT

This article shows the artisans’ political visions in the context of theliberal reforms in Cartagena at the middle of the nineteen century. Thissocial sector was not a merely manipulated group by the liberal party inorder to achieve its political projects, but it defended its ownexpectations, consolidating a political culture artisans could perceive the social and politicalunequalities of the liberal reforms.
