Abstract
RESUMEN
El artículo pretende analizar, partiendo de investigaciones en el área de Derecho y Trabajo Social, cómo se están constituyendo las experiencias sociales de travestis privadas de la libertad, en el régimen cerrado del Presidio Central de Porto Alegre / RS – Brasil, relacionadas, sobre todo, con la posibilidad de acceso a la educación y a actividades de generación de renta (o asalariadas), en tanto determinadas por cuestiones de identidad de género. De carácter teóricoreflexivo, tal análisis es fruto de investigaciones de maestrado en curso y se fundamentan en la revisión teórica sobre la temática y en aproximaciones de investigadores en el Presidio Central de Porto Alegre, con sujetos que allí se encontraban.

ABSTRACT
The article seeks to analyze, starting from researches conducted in the areas of Law and Social Work, how the social experiences of transvestites who were detained in the closed regime of Porto Alegre / RS - Brazil's Central
Prison are being built, related, mainly, to possibility of access to education and to income-generating activities when determined by issues of gender identity. With theoretical and reflective optics, such analysis is the result of ongoing masters researches and is based on the literature review on the subject and in approximations of the researchers with the Central Prison of Porto Alegre and with the individuals who are situated there.
