Abstract
Urban law in Colombia is framed by different regulations that provide for urban infractions committed by society, enforcing the care of public space through public interest behavior and territorial order. The new National Code of Police and Coexistence is exempted, where the police entity is highlighted to control and promote the order of public space. The objective of the research consisted in analyzing the jurisprudential regulations of urban infractions and corrective measures in the New Police and Coexistence Code. A documentary research is established as a methodical, systematic and orderly study of data, written documents, printed information sources, contents and bibliographic references, which once collected, classified and analyzed, are the basis for the understanding of the problem. The findings presented allow evidencing that the objective of the non-positive preventive nature implies a recognition of constitutional guarantees and the alignment of objectives in the social rule of law. Law 1801 of 2016 enables the necessary conditions in the coexistence in the national territory, fulfilling the duties and obligations of citizens for the right to exercise freedoms, overcoming the normative limitations which were obsolete in the previous law.
