Abstract
The multiply relations that exist between Geography and history are too evident to be unknown; however, in the formation process of geographers and historians, there isn´t a subject that integrates the concepts, methods, and techniques of those two subjects, in such a way that a holistic vision can be achieved about geographic and historic facts. From the conception of the geographic space as a social construction, it reflexes the importance and needs to incorporate a subject about Historical Geography inside study plans for careers in Geography and History. The investigation consists of exhaustive bibliographic research about the mentioned subject; in a revision about the study plans of the careers of Geography and History in Colombia and some Latin-American countries and the author`s teaching experience. It is expected to provide a proposal that aims to fill the existing void respects the subject of Historical Geography in the formation de Geographers and historians in our country.
