Abstract
The beginning of the reflection is the staging and interdicting of the classic answers to the question, what is, or what the sociology studies. This reflection has as a base the tiny recognition that he classics gave to the man as a configurative element of the subject of the discipline. Therefore, and previous tracking of some behavioral expressions that put the basis of the relevance of contemporary sociological analysis of the individual to emphasize the sense of what is now known as
individualization and subjectivation; these conceptual constructions are the result of the maturation process of sociology regarding to collect and characterization of social changes. In this way, and after some guidelines and epistemological basis that we assume as own and specific of the microsociology including the sociology of the individual, it is analyzed how is the applicative roll of this approach and then we have to discuss the strange marriage between modernity and colonialism and its incidence as a historical reason and why the individualization in societies as the Colombian one has happened in a stratified way and in different times, for example, the specific case of the recognition of the citizenship.
