Abstract
The values assigned by Simone Beauvoir to the women can be compared with negative values assigned to women in Greek tragedy, asserting that the author of the Second sex can be equated to a transgressor as Medea in promoting women’s liberation going against the patriarchal order established by the culture; aspect that would include women in the field of public life. This text
is intended to be an analysis of been woman by Beauvoir taking the Greek tragedy as a pretext to observe the construction of the subject-woman and the prescription of their values always faced the possibility of her liberation.
