Amauta is a scientific journal that has been in print since 1984 and since 2016 in electronic format. Its frequency of publication is biannual. Amauta publishes scientific articles for review and reflection in the Spanish and English languages, using the seventh edition APA standards, which are sent to academic peers for evaluation and selection.

As a journal of national and international circulation, it aims to disseminate knowledge in the field of Social and Human Sciences, in the fields of philosophy, theology and well-being of life. It is fully funded by the Universidad del Atlántico, which embraces ethical principles and good editorial practices, published in June 2015 by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE, available at: http://publicationethics.org/).

Its projection is to contribute to the consolidation of an interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary dialogue with the other sciences, guided by the motto "everything human is ours". As an academic and scientific dissemination space, it will always advocate for the cultivation of high levels of quality, promoting inter-institutional exchange and cooperation to promote the dissemination of the work of researchers, stimulate intellectual production, exchange successful experiences in the promotion of scientific knowledge, always with the teleological perspective of the well-being and happiness of life in society.
