El Puente Pumarejo y sus efectos en el transporte regional 1974-1980

La infraestructura del transporte juega un rol de gran importancia en el momento de evaluar la competitividad de las ciudades y la inclusión en el sistema de redes y de movilidad. En esa búsqueda se plantea el puente Pumarejo para el transporte, inaugurado el 6 de abril de 1974, fue planteado para mejorar el sistema de transporte en que existía para salir de la ciudad de Barranquilla. Servir como alternativa a los cruces existentes sobre el río Magdalena, junto con objetivos de carácter multipropósitos.

Este trabajo pretende analizar los efectos del enlace vial en los primeros años de funcionamiento del sistema de transporte regional, sin pasar por alto los efectos económicos y sociales.
