ABSTRACT This paper analizes the novel Celia se pudre from the hopeless worldview that underlies the way of thinking and feeling of its author, Héctor Rojas Herazo, and its main character, Anselmo, the orphic grandson, who has settled in Bogotá as an autocrat employee in a ministerial office, and remembers his childhood and adolescence in the town of Cedron as a means of facing the feeling of dissolution he suffers in the alienating city. Through the use of multiple discourses, techniques and focalizations led by the new baroque (artifice and parody), Rojas Herazo, presents a torn view and a critic of the human being in this, the third and last novel of the saga.
